Ashwagandha is an evergreen shrub that grows in India, the Middle East, and parts of Africa. It has a long history of use in traditional medicine. For hundreds of years, people have used the roots and orange-red fruit of ashwagandha for medicinal purposes. The herb is also known as Indian ginseng or winter cherry.

Frankincense has a "magical" reputation - especially in the Middle East - believed to enhance communication. There are over 52 references to it in the Bible. In Ayurvedic medicine, Frankincense has been used for arthritis, rheumatism, bronchitis, asthma, dysentery, diarrhoea, jaundice, inflammatory skin diseases and ulcers.

The exact origin of turmeric is unknown, but it's most likely from Western India where records show it has been used for at least 2500 years. The yellow-orange pigments obtained from the root are sacred and auspicious. Turmeric has been used medically for thousands of years as an important Ayurvedic herb used to treat inflammation, coughs and gastric disorders. Modern research suggests it may hold incredible benefits in combatting inflammatory states, liver disease, skin conditions and even cancer.
